Keep Your Desk Beautifully Organized with the Re:ease Modular Organizer

Keep Your Desk Beautifully Organized with the Re:ease Modular Organizer

Keeping your desk clutter-free is one of those next-to-impossible tasks that’s necessary to be productive. If you’re looking for ways to help you with that, take a look at Re:ease, a modular desk organizer that houses 11 different functions. Founder Marc Stüber and engineer Laurent Hartmann set out to reduce desktop distractions and “release” your desk from unnecessary junk with a clean, minimalist design that includes a hole punch, stapler, pen holder, wireless charge station with extra storage, 2 USB plugs, plant pot, pencil sharpener, and tape dispenser.

Each component can be used separately or connected together in any configuration with the help of small magnets.

The Re:ease organizer comes with locally grown ash wood bases paired with durable synthetic tops for a clean look. They’re also offering it with hand-crafted concrete bases.

After two years of designing and prototyping, they’re seeking funding on Kickstarter to bring Re:ease to life.

Serena Confalonieri Launches New Modern Wallpaper with Wall&decò

Serena Confalonieri Launches New Modern Wallpaper with Wall&decò

Milan-based Serena Confalonieri recently launched a trio of new wallpaper designs for Italian brand Wall&decò. Part of their Contemporary Collection 2019 that launched at Maison&Objet, the designs are bold but not over the top with memorable patterns that invite a second (and third) look. From a geometric tone-on-tone (MERIGGIO) to a visually enticing maze-like design (MOEBIUS) to an warm, abstract pattern that feels like Fall (SPICES), the designs are vastly different from each other but with an overall playful feel.

Print Your City Initiative Turns Plastic Waste into 3D Printed Street Furniture

Print Your City Initiative Turns Plastic Waste into 3D Printed Street Furniture

The New Raw is a Rotterdam-based research and design studio who’ve launched the Print Your City initiative starting with the first Zero Waste Lab in Thessaloniki, Greece. The lab is outfitted with a 3D printing robotic arm and recycling facilities that were implemented by Coca-Cola. The setup allows people to bring in their plastic waste and become a part of the recycling process. They can even design custom street furniture!

The New Raw is taking plastic household waste and using it to create 3D printed furniture for outdoors, specifically public spaces in Thessaloniki. The original prototypes were printed last summer and they not only offer public seating, they double as planters to add even more greenery.

Just last month, Hanth Park became the first public space hosting furniture from the Print Your City initiative.

Visitors to the Zero Waste Lab are given opportunities to help design the furniture by choosing the shape, color, and any additional functions, like dog water bowls and bike parking. They even get to select which public space they want their piece to go in. Once the design is decided upon, the Print Your City website tells how much plastic is going to need to be recycled to complete the piece.
