Situated on a narrow road in Dublin City Centre, the Prices Lane house was designed by ODOS Architects, who had to work within strict parameters due to its fixed space. For the family, they created an open courtyard that allowed more natural light to flood the interior. The design divides the house into two main volumes with the courtyard in the middle, which also gives them a private outdoor space.
The interior features modest-sized rooms, which meant careful consideration when it came to materials and color palette. White walls and ceilings are paired with polished grey concrete floors, wood accents, and the occasional use of subtle colors.
The staircases connect the split level floors as they link from one room to the next as they wrap around the central courtyard.
