Los Angeles-based designer Sarah Sherman Samuel has partnered with two brands that aim to help update your cabinets. First up, is her collaboration with Semihandmade, the company that makes modern doors for your IKEA cabinets, giving them a more custom look. Then to elevate cabinetry doors even further, she’s launched a collection of cabinet hardware with Park Studio.
Sarah Sherman Samuel for Semihandmade launches today with a collection of original doors to replace the doors on IKEA kitchen cabinets, credenzas, and consoles. In 2013, she renovated her own Venice bungalow and used Semihandmade doors in the process. The finished kitchen became so popular on the internet that a collaboration seemed only natural. The doors are a modern version of the classic beadboard style and they come in 8 colors including: White, Antique, Agave, Blush, Desert Grey, Juniper, Night Sky, and Black.
You might have noticed the hardware adorning the cabinets above, giving you an idea of how beautiful hardware can elevate simple cabinets. That hardware is from Sarah Sherman Samuel’s collection with Park Studio. The collaboration consists of three styles – Half Moon, Ottawa, and Mackinaw – each of which is milled out of solid brass and then brushed by hand. Made in Los Angeles, the hardware comes unlacquered so that it naturally patinas over time.
