Material Interiors is an installation going on at The Bryant, David Chipperfield Architects’ new luxury building overlooking Bryant Park, presented by Radnor. The exhibition is taking place during New York Design Month that will launch the inaugural Radnor Made collection and introduce new works by Radnor represented designers.
The space, a two-bedroom residence, is the first residential condominium built on Bryant Park, one of the city’s most iconic green spaces. The exhibition is co-curated by Workstead balancing the functional and the iconic to express a materiality that is grounded in place.
For this site-specific installation, Radnor and Workstead wanted to create a fully functional interior that would also respond to the existing details of The Bryant, most notably the distinctive herringbone oak floors and honed terrazzo borders.
