For the traveler that takes to the hills instead of the hotels or the outdoor enthusiast that still wants to come home to modern comforts, we have exciting news that will make you want 2019 to start already. Adding to their two established locations (Russian River and Santa Barbara), California-based luxury camping company AutoCamp has announced its expansion to Yosemite National Park, a bucket list destination for seasoned backpackers and hobbyist hikers alike. In addition, AutoCamp is expanding its partnership with Airstream as it prepares to order hundreds of additional custom RVs in order to open more AutoCamp locations across the nation. For now, we’re reveling in the fact that reservations for AutoCamp Yosemite have already begun.
Nestled on 25 acres in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, AutoCamp Yosemite is comprised of 15 luxury tents, three cabin suites, and 80 deluxe Airstream trailers, all outfitted in AutoCamp’s mid-century modern inspired, luxury “glamping” style. AutoCamp again tapped on Santa Barbara-based architecture firm Anacapa and San Francisco-based Geremia Design to be the creative forces behind the new location to create a modern camping experience for its guests. Los Angeles-based M-Rad Architecture also joined on-board to design five ADA suites so that everyone can enjoy the campgrounds.
Besides their contemporary accommodations and picturesque surroundings, guests will be able to enjoy themselves at the camp’s 4,000 square foot clubhouse which will include a reception, meeting space, indoor/outdoor lounge areas, roof deck, outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, and a modern general store for artisanal food and beverages. Similar to AutoCamp Russian River, this campground base will not look like the average club house.
AutoCamp is also giving back to the area which has seen the devastating effects of wildfires and is pledging to donate a part of every reservation to the Yosemite Sequoia Resource, Conservation and Development Council.
