David Weeks Studio just launched a new lighting collection: Treble. This is the New York-based studio’s ninth lighting collection, one that continues to explore the language of balance and reduction on a larger scale.
Each piece in Treble – named after the musical symbol the treble clef – relies on a seamlessly drawn line that acts to connect otherwise individual elements. Each curved tier adds to the statement as it’s balanced out with a folded metal shade and a diffused LED light source. After plenty of anodizing experimentation with Alex Rasmussen of design firm Neal Feay, they created a metal finish that resembles a gradient wash of watercolor. The result is a collection brimming over with modern elegance.
