Kick Back and Let This Sofa and Lounge Chair Embrace You

Kick Back and Let This Sofa and Lounge Chair Embrace You

Sitting back and relaxing on a comfortable sofa or chair at the end of a long day is hard to beat but just imagined it feeling like a cozy embrace. Luca Nichetto designed the You Sofa and Lounge Chair for Coedition with the idea of it evoking a warm feeling, much like someone wrapping their arms around you and and giving you a hug.

With overstuffed, pillowy cushions, the designs’ curvy backs come together with the seat cushion to offer you a giant hug. Also, the rounded back gives many options for how you choose to sit and relax for maximum comfort.

Both You pieces are available in a variety of materials and colors to work in most any residential or commercial project.

7 Plants That Will Clean the Air In Your Home by BrandsExclusive

So we all know that we want to have plants around to release oxygen in the air and suck up all that carbon dioxide, but did you know that some plants can actually help purify the air around us? With plenty of chemicals dominating the products we use in our modern lives – from cleaning to grooming – there can be a lot of nasty stuff floating in the air inside our homes.

We don’t really think about it because we can’t really feel it, but all this toxic stuff floating in the atmosphere can be damaging over time. But relax, we’re not here to scare you. We’re here to give answers. So if you’re the kind of person who wants to live in a home filled with clean, fresh air that you can deeply inhale without a worry, then read on for 7 plants you can buy to purify the air in your home.

1. Palm trees
Not just for looking pretty and channeling tropical vibes, palm trees can actually help to remove levels of formaldehyde from the air. Easy to look after, the best kind of palm to get if you’re looking to clean the air around you is the Dwarf Date Palm.

2. Spider plant
Perfect for those who absolutely do not have a green thumb, we dare you to try and kill the spider plant. It’s impossible. This plant has the ability to absorb benzene, formaldehyde, carbon monoxide, and xylene from the atmosphere. How’s that for an air purifier.

3. Boston fern
This clever toxic-sucking plant removes more formaldehyde from the atmosphere than any other plant out there. They’re also pretty good at removing benzene and xylene, which are components of gas exhaust which can enter your home through the garage. Wondering why every home doesn’t have one of these then? Well, they’re kind of hard to look after.

4. English ivy
This is a funny little plant that can wreak havoc if grown outside, but help to clean the air of formaldehyde if grown inside. A great climber, you can integrate this plant into your interior décor and have it sprawl across your furnishings or walls.

5. Snake plant
Also known as mother-in-law’s tongue, this bad boy is one of the best plants used to filter out formaldehyde. So if you’re not a huge fan of English ivy, give the snake plant a try. Easy to take care of, it’s a good idea to keep a snake plant in the bathroom. These plants are also funny in that they actually absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen at night, it could also be a good one to keep in your bedroom for an extra hit of oxygen.

6. Peace lily
A beautiful plant that’s as gorgeous as it is great at removing formaldehyde from the atmosphere. Peace lilies can also help to remove benzene and certain VOCs that are emitted from harsh cleaning products. A great plant to use in areas that might have a lot of toxic cleaning chemicals floating in the air, such as offices. Just keep in mind that the leaves are poisonous to pets and kids.

7. Aloe vera
Easy to grow and bearing plenty of its own benefits besides air purifying, aloe vera plants can help to remove formaldehyde and benzene from the air. Keep it in the kitchen by a sunny window and let it absorb the toxic chemicals released from dishwashing liquids and sprays.
