Vestre displayed their award-winning stand at this years Stockholm Furniture Fair designed by Note Design Studio. Known for their intrepid dedication to sustainability, Vestre wanted a partner that would not only understand their vision, but explore ways to further communicate their initiatives in minimizing waste.
The result is a space that utilizes components that can be dismantled, with parts that are easily reused or recycled. Materials used for construction include hollow tile, pine plywood, stone, and twin-wall polycarbonate. The collaboration also sought to use unprocessed materials in an effort to reduce waste.
The ambition, as described by Jesper Mellgren of Note Design Studio, “has been to create a place that is aesthetically situated in the middle ground between the outside and the inside, with a strong and honest visual expression, and architectural qualities.”
