For 2020, contemporary design studio hollis+morris has launched six fresh designs, including their first-ever series of tabletop accessories and lighting. The tidal pools and rural cliffs of Ireland, as well as the industrial rail crossing found in Toronto, brought inspiration to a collection that celebrates honest, natural materials through thoughtful craftsmanship. Included you’ll find two modular sets of candleholders, table lights, a tray, and a sculptural floor light – all using locally-sourced woods and leading LED technology.
The Junction Table Light and The Junction Floor Light are structural beauties that were designed to pay homage to the brand’s industrial Toronto neighborhood: The Junction! Their solid wood legs and LED lighting intersect just light railways to create a glowing canopy of illumination.

Catkins can be found popping up after a long winter, and The Catkin Table Light, both petite and playful, takes note. hollis+morris’ signature use of wood and metal has been capped off with a handblown orb reminiscent of the plant’s bloom.

The Giant’s Causeway Candle Holder is a nod to the basalt columns of Northern Ireland that were formed when rock quickly cooled after a volcanic eruption. Between the metal and wood lies a screw fulcrum, allowing the holder to pivot when turned.
The Pebble Candle Holder features a spherical base that has been inspired by pebbles found in a creek or riverbed. Sold as a set of three – small, medium, and large – these candleholders are a fun take on some of nature’s contoured shapes.

The Tidal Pool Tray
Tidal pools are their own tiny worlds, just as The Tidal Pool Tray can play host to whatever function you assign it. Set it out as a platter for appetizers or place it on your dresser for day-to-day necessities.
