Altered States in Milan by Snarkitecture and Caesarstone

Altered States in Milan by Snarkitecture and Caesarstone

Altered States is an installation created in collaboration between Snarkitecture and Caesarstone, which will be on display at Milan’s Fuorisalone from April 17th-21st. This year’s collaboration explores the core theme of the kitchen island, an update from their previous installation earlier this year.

Caesarstone approached Snarkitecture with the intention of inspiring architects and designers to think about the future of the kitchen and use their material in new ways. Snarkitecture viewed water as the most important “ingredient” in the kitchen, and drew inspiration from its varied changing states in nature.

At the center of Palazzo dell’Ufficio Elettorale di Porta Romana, which will be opened to the public for the first time, a large circular kitchen island made of Caesarstone White Attica explores the changing states of water – ice, liquid and steam.
