LightArt’s Coil Collection Naturals Uses the Brand’s Own Waste Materials

LightArt’s Coil Collection Naturals Uses the Brand’s Own Waste Materials

LightArt’s Coil Collection is good, but their new Coil Collection Naturals might be even better. The original collection from the Seattle and Salt Lake City-based lighting fabrication and design studio is a breakthrough in 3D light fixtures made from upcycled waste, with the new collection inspired by the colors of nature. The Naturals’ calm colors, bold shapes and sizes, and efficient lighting technology push the boundaries of upcycled waste further still.

Where does the recycled waste come from, you might be wondering? It’s from LightArt itself. Their waste material is pelletized and then sorted by color before pigment and a matting agent are added. “The difference is that we’re making recycled content look good, maybe even better than the original product. The magic is in elevating repurposed materials beyond their starting point into viable lighting that excites people,” says LightArt founder Ryan Smith.

Coil Collection Naturals come in three colors – Red Clay, Limestone and Granite Gray – and will be available in four new shapes inspired by pottery, geometry and curves. Each fixture is assembled with a PVC-free cord and finished with a TGIC-free powder coated Canopy.
