House in Santa Pola by Fran Silvestre Arquitectos

House in Santa Pola by Fran Silvestre Arquitectos

House in Santa Pola is a minimal home located in Tabarca, Spain, designed by Fran Silvestre Arquitectos. Due to significant variance in height between the upper and lower access, the architects carefully considered the impact the volume of the building would have on its surrounding landscape.

The building reaches the highest altitude possible in order to have direct views of the sea. Two volumes emerge from the base of the home and blend in with the texture of the surrounding mountains. Between the two volumes, an open and shaded area is provided.

The upper level has an opening that overlooks the ocean and provides natural light into the spaces within. Facing the street, low and longitudinal windows illuminate and ventilate the corridor while maintaining privacy.
