We’ve been highlighting the designers of the Maker section at this year’s IDS Toronto show (which officially opens its doors from January 16-19, 2020!) and rounding out this mini series is Ridgely Studio. Founded by Zac Ridgely, the studio explores the boundaries of form in lighting design. Zac incorporates materials not usually used in lighting like crushed glass and onyx, cut art glass, steel mesh, spun steel, and golden aluminum to create elegant, architectural fixtures. The studio has recently expanded into select furniture design and build, in addition to creating bespoke sculptures.
