Art director Cristina Celestino has designed two new seating collections for a new era at Italian brand Billiani: the Corolla lounge collection and the Frisée seating family. Making chairs for over 100 years, the Manzano-based company has a culture of storytelling, experimentation, and good design that they’ve carried into both of these new collections.

The Corolla lounge collection of armchairs features soft, harmonious shapes with plush curves and a wood base. The charming wavy line – present in each piece – represents the world of fashion, and their quality upholstery coverings follow suit with eye-catching contrasting colors and textures.

The Frisée seating family shows off pure color paired with sleek bulb-end legs. Initially designed for the contract market, the Frisée’s designs exude a culture and sophistication that also gives a nod to cabinet making. With both new collections, Celestino is helping Billiani grow into their next phase of chair design.
