Danish design brand Fritz Hansen, in collaboration with visionary editor, design curator and gallerist Carla Sozzani, have just introduced 16 new colors and seven base options for the Series 7, Ant and Grand Prix Arne Jacobsen stacking chairs. These are the first three designs that the new color series – A Sense of Colour – will be used on, making their silhouettes even more eye-catching and their personalities more vibrant. From bold yellow to the deepest green, it’s time to pick out your new favorite piece of furniture!
“We began the color selection on this project by having workshops with Carla Sozzani at her studio where we, from a vast number of colors, curated a unique palette. One of the primary goals was to create a collection united by a warm tone, a red thread so to speak. This was achieved by every color having a splash of red,” explains Fritz Hansen’s Head of Design, Christian Andresen.
Sozzani added, “From the dark green and blue of shifting waves and sky, to the pinks and ochres of small shells and a fading seashore in twilight, the palette came naturally as I explored the essence of daylight and its partner: night, to capture the essence of our shared color harmonies.”
