Nathalie Du Pasquier Designs a Boldly Graphic Collection of Tiles for Mutina

Nathalie Du Pasquier Designs a Boldly Graphic Collection of Tiles for Mutina

Milan-based French artist and designer Nathalie Du Pasquier, known for her paintings and being a founding member of the Memphis design collective, partnered with Italian tile makers Mutina on an expansive tile collection called Mattonelle Margherita. The ceramic tiles mark a colorful collaboration that’s both simple and minimalist, per the plain-colored tiles, while also being creative and bold, thanks to the graphic patterns. The Mattonelle Margherita collection comprises 41 hand-designed patterns, which includes 27 graphics and 6 plain designs in the 20.5 x 20.5cm size and 6 patterns and 2 plain designs in the 10.1 x 20.5cm size. The colors and patterns are designed to be combined together into any configuration imaginable, whether you want to cover an entire wall or floor, or just a portion, like around windows or door frames. If you don’t trust your creative instincts, they’ve suggested a series of options below, some of which lean towards the simple side, while the others play around and take it to a while new level.

The Mattonelle Margherita tiles are made of glazed porcelain stoneware with satin surfaces that result in a bright and vibrant finish. If you desire to use the tiles in an area where there are anti-slip regulations, Mutina has developed a special anti-slip finish that can be provided.
