W203 Ilumina Lamp by Ilse Crawford for Wästberg

W203 Ilumina Lamp by Ilse Crawford for Wästberg

W203 Ilumina is a minimalist lamp created by London-based designer Ilse Crawford for Wästberg. While the form is reminiscent of library lamps in times past, the detail in construction and advancement in lighting technology have completely transformed what was otherwise a simplistic light.

The light will be available in three variations: high-gloss copper, brushed aluminum, or soft eggshell white. The dimmable LED offers a warm, familiar ambiance that creates directed light with clear, yet gentle definition with no visible light source to distract the eye.

Wästberg is further improving their lighting quality by focusing on color rendering and deviation as well as electronic solutions to create flicker-free lighting. Their efforts are shifting into more sustainable materials and energy efficient lamps with an introduction in 2020 of, “a new material approach that uses 100% renewable feedstock, and, of course, is recyclable.”
