The following post is brought to you by Capra Designs. Our partners are hand picked by the Design Milk team because they represent the best in design.
On the heels of their successful Back to Nature collection, Capra Designs chose to explore a new direction inspired by Roman architecture. The collaborative effort between Capra Designs owner Bianca Lambert and staff member Juliette Gambert became the Sol Collection, named after the Roman Goddess of the sun, which includes six new planter designs featuring the brand’s signature seamless water trays. They’re lightly using earthy terrazzo made from broken ceramic pots to add an eco-friendly element to the pieces.
From Lambert:
While visiting my manufacturer I noticed a pile of broken ceramic pots in their yard and knew we had to find a way to turn this unfortunate waste into product. We are now using these broken ceramic pots to create the earthy terrazzo in the Sol Collection.
The Melbourne-based Capra Designs will be launching the Sol Collection in early June 2020, but it’s available for pre-order now!
