Christmas Makeup Looks by BrandsExclusive

You know that shimmery party dress collecting dust in your closet? Well it’s time to dust it off, slip it on and pair your festive frock with these glamorous Christmas makeup looks.

Christmas Eve: Bold Lips & Winged Eyeliner

Perfect your Christmas Eve pout with a bold matte lip this season. When choosing a shade, opt for one that will stand out beyond doubt. Right now, we’re crushing on fire engine reds, pretty plums and candy corals. To complement your luscious lips, pair this look with winged eyeliner (also known as a cat eye). For best results and easy application, we’d recommend using liquid eyeliner over a pencil. For extra wow factor, switch your black liner for a white one. Christmas Day: Pretty in Pink

Because who doesn’t like pink? The perfect look for Christmas Day with the fam; achieve that soft and pretty summer look with a pop of pink! For the lips, we’re lusting after pearlised baby pinks and bright strawberry tones. On a fresh canvas (think clean, radiant and fresh skin), apply a sheer peach blush to the apples of the cheeks for that natural, pinched cheek look. For feminine and flawless eyes, add a touch of black mascara and smudge of pink or a sheerer coral shadow on the lids. Add the finishing touches with an illuminator on the upper cheekbones, brow bones and bridge of your nose.

Christmas Night: Frosty Snow Princess

If you’re not at home nursing your food baby, Christmas Night is a great time to meet up and get merry with friends, exchange Kris Kringle gifts and so on. To prolong the festive vibe, try a frosty sparkle look. Basically we’re giving you free reign to go to town on the glitter. For the lids, opt for a matte eye shadow infused with glitter or sparkles and blend well. Apply a generous coat of mascara to the lashes, and a touch of illuminator to the cheeks and brow bones. Pair this look with a deep red lip for extra impact. If you’re after something a little more low-key, switch the shadow for a single glitter stripe right above the cat eye.
